For this recipe, you'll need the following items and about 30 minutes preparation time plus a few hours to cook on medium low.
crockpot or moderate size dutch oven
one pound of ground round
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 small onion, chopped
1 can pinto beans (I like the kind that come with onions, but I like onions...)
1/2 tsp each of curry powder, cumin, paprika
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour to thicken (I use coconut flour, which may sound strange, but you can't taste the coconut --- mix in a separate bowl with water until the mixture is smooth, and then add to the chili, and stir it in well).
1 pack chili seasoning
1/2 cup leftover red wine (I use Carnivor) --- but you have to manage to have leftover wine... :>)
Brown the meat with a little water, and then add your remaining ingredients, and leave it alone. Okay, check it now and then, taste and adjust as needed. Enjoy!
